The civil and criminal liability of employers and managers under OSHA’s current enforcement agendas will be discussed, covering such issues as enhanced  penalty policy, repeat citation policy expansion, severe violators enforcement policy, recordkeeping enforcement policy and native language enforcement policy.  It will also cover the expansion of the General Duty Clause, touching on the subjects of heat illness, workplace violence, combustible dust and ergonomics.  Finally, what to expect and how to handle an OSHA inspection, including employee interviews, rights of employers, employees and OSHA, the expansion of the definition of Supervisor by OSHA to reduce burden to prove citations, and how to respond to an OSHA fatality or catastrophe inspection will be discussed.
