David Burczyk, Trimble MEP
David Burczyk is the Segment Manager for the Trimble MEP Field Solutions, which includes robotic total stations and 3D laser scanners. Through the use of scanning and layout technology, David is focused on providing Trimble solutions that advance the field productivity of the MEP contracting trades. With over fifteen years of AEC industry experience promoting collaboration among construction teams, David possesses a comprehensive understanding of Building Information Models (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) processes. Utilizing both his architectural and construction background, David has participated in large scale commercial construction projects from preconstruction through construction. He has employed BIM to provide integrated project delivery, 3D MEP coordination and 3D constructability reviews. David has been responsible for developing BIM project execution plans, VDC best practices, quality initiatives and presenting to industry groups about BIM/VDC for a Top 25 general contractor. Enthusiastic about the built environment, David received a Master’s of Science in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University-New York City, a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Kansas State University and spent a semester studying architecture in Italy and traveling through Europe.
