Marshall is a co-founder of E-Capital Development Inc., a financial consulting firm that provides automated underwriting and brokerage services to originate, insure, and finance energy efficiency and alternative energy projects. He has been designing energy and environmental insurance programs for almost 30 years, and has an advanced understanding of the obstacles currently hindering energy project development and the underwriting procedures necessary to resolve them. Marshall is one of a handful of brokers in the U.S. using insurance policies to backstop the guarantees of ESCO’s, energy performance contractors, solar contractors, and energy consultants. Prior to launching his insurance career, he was an exploration geologist for Shell Oil Company.
